Platinum
and Pearls Gala Produces
Bright Future for Stehlin Foundation
The
Friends of the Stehlin Foundation set the stage for
a night of celebration to commemorate Stehlins
30 Years of Hope and Healing at the 20th Annual Gala.
Platinum and Pearls was the galas
theme, which set record numbers. Almost a thousand guests
attended the event and helped raise more than $1,030,000
in funds to continue Stehlins research. Two produced
videos were featured during the dinner to showcase breakthroughs
and discoveries made by the Stehlin Foundation throughout
its existence. The first video was an interview with
Leslie and Kim Wheless, the galas honorees, discussing
their involvement and commitment to the Stehlin Foundation.
The second video, narrated by retired Good Morning America
host Dave Hartman, celebrated the past, present and
future of the Stehlin Foundation and honored Dr. John
S. Stehlin, Jr. Each year, the Friends of the Stehlin
Foundation strive to organize a gala that generates
more funds than the previous year and provides guests
with a festive atmosphere. The 20th Annual Gala was
no exception, and included the involvement of hundreds
of dedicated individuals. The Stehlin Foundation
has touched and healed many lives, with the galas
proceeds we can support the Foundations work and
keep its mission aliveto find a cure for cancer,
said Mike Meagher, of the Friends of the Stehlin Foundation.
