Receives Eagle Award
Dr. Beppino
C. Giovanella accepts the prestigious “Eagle Award,”
observed by, from left to right, luncheon host Shara Fryer
of KTRH Channel 13 news, Ruth Cooper, President of the Cancer
Fighter’s League, and Bobby Anderson, Stehlin Foundation
Director. The Eagle Award is presented to the physician who
has soared to new and constant hieghts in the fight to conquer
and alleviate the effects of cancer.
Dr. Giovanella has been the Director of the Laboratory of
The Stehlin
Foundation for Cancer Research at Christus St. Joseph Hospital
for 31 years,
ever since the laboratory opened in 1970.
