Chiliheads from around the globe
will invade the Houston Farm &
Ranch Club Sept. 20 and 21, at the 4th annual Houston Hot
Sauce Festival benefiting the Stehlin Foundation for Cancer
Research.
Sample hundreds of fiery foods while enjoying a wide range
of events and award-winning exhibitors.
Entertainment, including the Zydeco Dots, local performers
and salsa dance lessons delight eyes and ears while taste
buds cool down. A free children’s area will feature
face painting, a moonwalk and an appearance by children’s
author
Dottie Enderle. Other events include the annual amateur
salsa competition, arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations
and information on the Stehlin Foundation.
Carol Borge, festival organizer and breast cancer survivor,
received treatment at the Stehlin Foundation.
“The Festival is my way of giving back to the Stehlin
Foundation for saving my life,” said Borge. “More
than 12,000 Texas women will be diagnosed with breast cancer
this year. This is my way of making sure that the Foundation’s
research continues to help women.”
