Four Seasons
Cooks Up Fundraiser
New Event Planned
After Terry Fox Run Cancelled
 |
Over
the past 5 years alone, the Houston Terry
Fox Run donated over $300,000 to the Stehlin
Foundation for Cancer Research.
|
Supporters of The Stehlin Foundation for Cancer Research
give thanks for their generous friends at the Four Seasons
Hotel.
In memory of Terry Fox, the Four Seasons will donate all
proceeds from the Thanksgiving-season sale of pies or cakes
from its famous pastry shop to the Stehlin Foundation. Orders
must be placed by Nov. 21 and may be picked up from the
hotel on Wednesday, Nov. 26. For more information, call
Tiffany Kendall at 713.652.6249.
New restrictions issued by the Terry Fox Foundation in Canada
made it too difficult to raise money through a Terry Fox
Run, and the local run was cancelled. However, the Four
Seasons Hotel remains committed to raising money for the
Stehlin Foundation in memory of Terry Fox.
“We are thankful for the generous support of the Terry
Fox Run over the past 19 years,” said Mark Hellrung,
general manager, Four Seasons Hotel Houston. “We will
still look to the enthusiasm and dedication of our loyal
participants and sponsors to launch a new era in fundraising
for the Four Seasons Hotel Houston.”
The Stehlin Foundation and the
Four Seasons Hotel are considering
options for a new charity event in 2004.
